Covertite is a large roofing contractor that has operated since 1951 with offices in Eastern Ontario and Quebec. Our firm has extensive experience in all types of low slope and steep slope roofing systems as well as with specialty sheet metal work. Our Residential Division known as Covertite Residential Construction caters to home owners with professionalism and expertise, giving home owners a peace of mind that is unequalled in the hit-and-miss residential roofing industry.

Industry Commitment

Covertite is a dedicated member of numerous local and national construction associations (outlined below). In fact, the founder of Covertite (Albert Warner) was fundamental in the establishment of the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association, as well as the Quebec Master Roofers Association. Our strong dedication to the industry continues, as evidenced in part by the involvement of our director Barry Warner as President of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Industrial Roofing Contractors Association. Our firm has always had a strong commitment to staying abreast of the current developments in the roofing industry. We subscribe to all of the prominent roofing journals, and attend numerous trade shows and seminars.

Manpower

We boast a manpower pool of about 80 workers. Our onsite foremen have many years of practical experience, allowing them to deal with virtually every onsite condition and train the men under them in the intricacies of the trade. In the course of the last several years, three of our foremen have celebrated 25 years of service with our firm.

Safety Program

Safety is a top priority at Covertite. We have been honoured with the Vic West Safety Award; the highest achievement in safety that a roofing contractor can obtain in the Province of Ontario. Covertite's outstanding safety record has been a source of pride which has led to the winning of numerous prestigious contracts. Our in-house training program - organized and governed by our full-time Safety Representative - has been an enormous success in ensuring safety and professionalism on job sites. The training program involves formal workshop sessions, onsite training as well as surprise onsite inspections to ensure the safety of all workers.

Track Record

We have roofed literally thousands of buildings ranging in size from 500 square feet to 500,000 square feet. Our conservative approach to roofing leaves the owner with no surprises. We will not gamble to the detriment of the owner, and this likely accounts for the roughly one hundred million square feet of successful roofing we have applied in Quebec and Ontario. In 60 years of business, we have never appeared in court for a premature roof failure.
